Part-time Christian in need of a Full-time Savior

The human race should be ashamed of ourselves sometimes. I say this because because we tend to speak the word of God and adore his love; however, this quickly fades when life seems to be full of blessings.

It makes no sense, after you begin to receive God's daily salvation. You slowly stop falling to your knees to thank him. Stop worshiping him often. Stop posting inspirational Instagram post about how good He is to you. This doesn't mean you aren't a Christian, but your need for God seems to sway in and out.

I just am amazed by the way people talk about Jesus. I see this through social media so much. So many people have hit rock bottom in their life, so the need for the Lord increases. When life gets better, God slowly fades out of the picture.

Instantly, the weaknesses of the human race makes an appearance. God tends to makes his way back into your life.

God always allows us to feel the frailty of human love so we'll appreciate the strength of His.

Now I don't say these things just because I want to put someone down. I have been slammed guilty of these actions. I now realize just like an relationship, God's is far more important. It's the most personal relationship you will ever have. He is a living God, who feels what you feel, hurts for you, struggles for you. He is a God who loves you deeply.
"My soul thirsts for God, for the living God." | Psalm 42:2
There is so much more to the need for God than words can describe. I am proud to be a daughter of Christ. God is the true difference maker over my life., and I have experienced all of his love and mercy. I have seen him put my faith at test, I have been delivered from my sins. I have displayed my affection for the Lord.

I pray that you all may encounter the living God. This type of God doesn't just last for a moment rather a life time. That when you decide to pick up your Bible again, his words illuminate and manifest in your heart. I pray for you to understand the struggle of being a son/daughter of Christ. He gave it all up for you, his son. The cross is the biggest reminder of his sacrifice for you. He will never leave you, he may departed from this world, but he is still waiting for you to declare your unending love and faith in him. I pray that all these things come to pass, in God's name.
Amen.
