Passing the test Part 1

I figured this is an important post for others, as well as, for myself because we are constantly trying to make a passing grade in life in everything we do. For me I know with taking 6 classes I want to make an A all of my classes which can be a challenge, but I know if I give it a hundred percent and try my absolute hardest. I can at least make a B. I'm not saying that I cannot achieve the A in each one of my classes but I am saying that I will give it my all.

We don't just take a test in class, also take a test with everything we do in life. We are always looking for the passing grade. We want to be the most recognized person in a our work place, but we always seem to fall short and receive a B when we are attempting to make an A, or when we want to be the most popular person in our friend group, or wanting to make the most money in our workplace. WE WILL NEVER MAKE THE PASSING GRADE. Instead we are failing because we are making all these things more important the one teacher whose grade actually matters, GOD!

He asks simple questions when he presents his test to you and that is do you love him? Do you follow him? Have you given your life to him? And are you trusting him with your whole heart? You look at those questions and you say 'yes' to all of them but the real question is are you doing? When we chose to follow Jesus we must commit to the act of living for his glory.

Thinking that you are passing a test with God is easy, but the reality of it is that it will never be easy. You will constantly find something you love more than God, and you will chose to follow something more powerful than God. What are these things: popularity, social media, sex, alcohol, acceptance, and money. So many things that we are putting before God and failing at.

To drive it home, I am not saying that live a life were you make an A place on a test by God because you never will. As a follower of Christ you should always be making B+ and asking yourself "What have I done today to act in the glory of God?" Turning your eyes away from loving other things that isn't God seems to be the hardest thing to do, but if we trust in him then he will provide.

Something that we fail to forget that God provides a means to the end. A way to no way. A healing to the sick. A love to the broken-hearted. A hope to the hopeless. And a salvation to the sinful. Jesus is KING and he will provide.

Philippines 4:19 | "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."
