New Year, Same Jesus!

I feel as though I am a 22 years old, I struggle to keep up with today's world. 

I just got the memo that those chokers were in style. Or was that only for 2016? I struggle keeping up

All these sayings of a new year and changing things about yourself. Why? I don't understand why someone would wait until the new year to change something that they don't like. Or why wait until the new year to start a new diet? Why wait for a new year to "get right with the Lord"? All these things just make me wonder. Why are there more post about how 2017 will be better for you? 


Did God not send his son down on Earth to walk this world, and take on the bad for 2015, 2016, 2017....? Did he not bare the same of your sins? Shouldn't a new year, be another year to elevate yourself in God's kingdom and to reach out and create disciples?

The apostle Paul went to churches to tell them the good news. Of course they had questioned when he left, so he wrote them back a letter. One of my favorite books is Colossians, where Paul is writing back to the church and he shows the power of prayer. He mentions how he has not stopped praying for you and struggling for you. 

Colossians 1:9 | "Since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with knowledge of his will..."

Paul never waited until day 1 of 2017 to start praying for you, this man has been praying for your life and for you to know who God is over 2,000 years. 

I want to post the entire book of Colossians, it's so amazing! He understands the Lord, and how we get close to him. 
Colossians 2: 5 | "For though I am absent from you in the body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how orderly you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. " 

The big question is do you need a resolution to get the know the Lord or do you need to leap towards him in faith? I have faith that the spirit is standing beside you, craving to dwell inside you. So that you may see all the goodness that the Lord has to offer. 

I am letting the Word of God be at work. I am on a mission for God, by God, through Christ to share the gospel to his people. Let's worship the Lord the way you worship a new Drake song. Let's make Jesus the greatest of all names.

Life moves fast sometimes, to fast. Sometimes we get to wrapped up in the fast life and we forget the little things. I know I can admit, I become easily distracted by the little things. Jesus, Take the Wheel!!!!!!!

You know that saying people would say "Jesus take the wheel," have you ever thought about what that means. Well I figured I could provide a good example:  Now that you got a good laugh, lets really talk. I remember growing in people would say that saying and I never really understood what it meant. So now that I am older, I use to say "Jesus, take the wheel" I remember saying it when I was stressed out or when a friend of mines was acting inappropriately. When we think of such a saying, we want God to have control because we lack all control. But shouldn't God always be driving the car in your life? And what does that look like when you truly let Jesus drive? For me that means I need to surrender. I am still allowing myself to put other things in God's place. Simple Things.

I got this Awesome coffee mug yesterday, and I am absolutely obsessed with it. First, it says You are an Amazing Woman . Second, the rim of the mug is Proverbs 31: 29 | " Many Women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." This is such a inspirational mug not because of who said, simply because it's a word of God. Words of confirmation and positivity, ladies if this doesn't lift your spirits in the morning, then I don't know what will. Let's thank God for the simple things like waking up, and getting an awesome mug. God you are an amazing father, you never fail in love for me. And I thank you for that.
