Passing the test Part TWO!!!
So I realized humans like pictures..... so here are a few:
In all of these pictures I am doing exactly what we need to do to pass the test of following and trusting in Christ! I am Beholding the GLORY! Now it doesn't mean take an artsy picture and call that faithfulness, it means manifesting in the glory, saturating in it. All things are created for God and by God. And what we need to do as followers is bare witness to his Glory and through this you will see his magnificent and how it truly out pours on your life.
I said it in Part 1, we must turn away from those things that we seem to think are better than Jesus. Now that isn't simple. I know it's taken me such a long time to turn away from those things that I thought can be more fullfilling than Jesus, but with every test you take comes a lesson. When we sin, we think "that was wrong, and I shouldn't have done that." In reality, we are still sinning because we are still doing the same sin and that is us falling short of God; yet we still sin. Just because you ask God to forgive doesn't mean you are saved, you must repent then change! Think of our sins in a different light. We need to approach the sins like it's another test question, who hurts more by the sin, God or myself?
Romans 6:1-2 | "What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?"
God sent his one and only son to die for our sins, Yes! Does that mean we still relish in the sins? No! We must turn from our sins and turn to God. We must turn from doubt and turn to God. We must say "Oh Lord, your words say you are the rock and fortress, my deliver so I must put my trust in you! Help me Lord!" You can do it. Do it right now. BEHOLD his GLORY! Worship, cry, read, and witness the Love of God and what he has on your life.
Psalm 18:2-3 | " The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God , my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so I shall be saved from my enemies."
Lord, give mercy Oh God. You are glorious, you are powerful beyond all measures. You are everything and we are nothing but sinners in our hearts, but the salvation of your son saves all. Jesus came save us with his righteousness, and we thank you for that. God give us strength when we feel weakened by the enemy. Help us cast our eyes on your glory, if that means staring at the sun or reading your word let us do it all through you, dear God. Overwhelm us by your grace. Let us praise him. He will deliver you from the sins just call on him and Behold his glory. Amen.
