How does God talk to me?

I usually get on my blog, find words that God puts on my heart and share them with anyone who reads. However, I have been struggling with what is on my heart. This time I am writing as a seeker,  seeking answers from God.

Yesterday played out in a funny way, I get an email from this blog subscription I follow on youtube, and it is titled "How do I talk to God? How does God talk to me?" I find this to be extremely ironic because... I had one many conversations with God yesterday. Some were asking for guidance, thanking him for the new day, asking for favor of the coming week, but others were of anger and disappointment.

How does that all happen in one day? How can I become so mad and angry at him? I know I shouldn't but I did.

I find this all extremely ironic, like he was preparing me for a test today because in the morning I did come a cross a bible verse today that stood out and I probably read more than five times.

James 4:7 | "So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you."

Above this bible verse, which I wrote in my devotion book, I titled this page I SURRENDER. Another pretty ironic thing, on this pretty ironic day. Was God telling me something?
After I jotted down James 4:7, in my devo. book, then wrote down underneath the verse:  
"We must give ourselves to God the same way he gave himself to us...
total surrender: 
unconditional 
without reservation  
total surrender means our lives will be totally consumed with him."


So let me restate a question, from one of many, "How does God talk to me?"

Life moves fast sometimes, to fast. Sometimes we get to wrapped up in the fast life and we forget the little things. I know I can admit, I become easily distracted by the little things. Jesus, Take the Wheel!!!!!!!

You know that saying people would say "Jesus take the wheel," have you ever thought about what that means. Well I figured I could provide a good example:  Now that you got a good laugh, lets really talk. I remember growing in people would say that saying and I never really understood what it meant. So now that I am older, I use to say "Jesus, take the wheel" I remember saying it when I was stressed out or when a friend of mines was acting inappropriately. When we think of such a saying, we want God to have control because we lack all control. But shouldn't God always be driving the car in your life? And what does that look like when you truly let Jesus drive? For me that means I need to surrender. I am still allowing myself to put other things in God's place. Simple Things.

I got this Awesome coffee mug yesterday, and I am absolutely obsessed with it. First, it says You are an Amazing Woman . Second, the rim of the mug is Proverbs 31: 29 | " Many Women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." This is such a inspirational mug not because of who said, simply because it's a word of God. Words of confirmation and positivity, ladies if this doesn't lift your spirits in the morning, then I don't know what will. Let's thank God for the simple things like waking up, and getting an awesome mug. God you are an amazing father, you never fail in love for me. And I thank you for that.
