Look At God Go!

Today I got to see God's work. The first thing I said when I came up to Pilot Mountain today was "wow, look at God go." It was amazing to see what beauty God creates. Today I did more than view this mountain I was hiking, I got to experience Christ. When you first look at the mountain, you think a few things like: that's high up, can I make it, will I give up or get tired... All of these thoughts went through my head. However, I didn't give up on it.

Just like a trail gives you a path to reach the top to reach your goal, so does God. He gives you a trail, in order to get closer to him. The real question is, will you follow it? Same question that's presented when you chose to follow Christ. And to both I said "HECK YEAH!"

Today along the hike, I had to walk pass this boulder, which had steep steps and rocks that can trip me up if I skip a step. (Not to mention I was 2200 ft up!) I remember looking at this one rock that was terrifying, and I said to myself that is crazy to climb up. Instead of walking away and not doing it, I said " why not?" So I did it! I am so proud of myself (because despite the fact that I thought I was going to be stuck up there) I did the impossible and climbed it! Lucky for me there was rock that were shaped just right, and in the right place to guide me back down the rock.

God does the same thing in our lives, when we that we can't do something guide reminds us to trust in him, because he got us, as long as, we trust in him. He knows how to come into our lives and say these things to us at the right time. Just like the rocks that guided me down, Jesus guides us to all the right things.
Isaiah 12:2 | “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”

As I continued up the mountain I did trip once or twice, but I think that is so meaningful to me and my journey with Christ because I know that I have lost sight of Jesus which led me down a bad path in my life. So when you take your eyes off of Jesus you tend to trip, fall, or be misguided in the wrong direction. However, our God is so forgiving that he can brace you from your fall or guide you back in the direction of him. Now how awesome is that?! Amazingly awesome! It's great that along the trail, I got to stop in capture some of the beauty that this mountain possessed. That's something that we need to be reminded of everyday, to stop and say, "wow, look at God go."

Hebrews 12:2 | "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith...."

How awesome is it to experience God like never before. How lucky am I that I got to metaphorically follow the path to Jesus. Today, I didn't make it to the tip top to the mountain which is great because I am not tip top next to Christ yet. And I am blessed that I get to follow such an awesome God, and see how he works. If you keep following him, then you will be rewarded.
